My crockpot is a 3-1/2 quart one. Isn't that about the same as 3 litres? But then I have a proportion of rice to water that works perfectly in my crockpot - 1/2 cup short grain calrose rice with 6 cups water.

I only have a small crockpot at home so can't use that to cook porridge unless for baby's meals. :)

I make something similar sometimes, except for the carrots. And I use a crockpot. So much easier.
